About Me
I will graduate from the University of Arkansas in Dec. 2022 with a bachelors degree in broadcast journalism.
A native of Conway, Arkansas, I've dedicated my time in Fayetteville to working my way up the ladder in the industry. After starting as a writer for the school newspaper, The Arkansas Traveler, I now serve as the managing editor for HawgBeat.com — the Rivals website covering the Arkansas Razorbacks.
In August of 2021, I married my best friend, Felicity Choate.

Took over as managing editor of HawgBeat.com in July of 2022. My job includes being the beat writer for the three major Arkansas Razorbacks sports as well as managing employees. I edit video, podcasts and stories each day on top of writing, attending practices and press conferences and covering games. I also take care of the business aspect of things by selling ads to sponsors for our content.

In January of 2020 I began working for Trey Biddy at Hawgsports.com. This is arguably one of the top media outlets covering Arkansas athletics. Here I quickly learned to film press conferences and post them to the website as well as send clips into CBS in a very fast paced environment. Not very long after I started covering Razorback baseball I was given the reigns to write recap stories for games. During the 2020 Razorback football team I helped provide coverage of the team and did all of the sites video work throughout the season.

As an intern at ESPN 99.5, I learned how to run a sound board, reach out to guests, take calls, run promotions and be on live radio. I appeared on shows like Ruscin&Zach, Press Row, Average Bro's, the Power Hour and more.
Conway Corp Channel 5 - Sports Intern

During my senior year of high school, I had the opportunity to intern at Conway Corp Channel 5 in Conway, Arkansas. Here I was able to shadow the team that produced the high school football and basketball games. I also had the chance to write my own script and film on camera reports. During the spring, I was able to work as the play-by-play analyst for all Conway spring sports.

I was part of the team that founded this online newspaper at my high school. My job was to write and edit stories that were related to the athletic teams at Conway High School. Though it was only in its first year, the newspaper was very popular among students and fans around the city.
